Formigal
The resort There are 137km of piste across 4 valleys in this delightful ski resort, designated "freeside areas" (some accessed using a ski-ratrack), snowparks and heli-skiing. The pisted slopes are varied and fun with an igloo bar and tepee bar for coffees as well as normal mountainside restaurants. Formigal is one village and about a 5 minute bus ride from the slopes (buses operate regularly all day). The town itself has a relaxed atmosphere and there are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops.
Formigal is part of 'Aramon', currently the only group of ski resorts in Spain, which was set up as a joint venture by the Aragon government and Ibercaja bank. Previously the resorts (Formigal, Cerler, Panticosa, Javalambre and Valdelinares) were all independently run, but now under the Aramón banner guests are guaranteed the same high standard of quality and service in all the resorts.
The name Aramón is derived from the Spanish Montañas de Aragón (mountains of Aragon), where the resorts are situated. The resort are continually modernizing, expanding and improving the facilities available to skiers to bring them the most efficient transport system, safe pistes and fresh snow.

Apres-ski
There are several bars in Formigal offering refreshments at good prices on and off the slopes.
Some of the bars are very lively and you could try The Saloon, La Luna and La Chocolateria (for afternoon tea and cake).
"Marchica" at the foot of the slopes is also a hot spot.
For evening meals there is a range of restaurants from pizzerias to gourmet restaurants. We suggest trying La Sidreria or Norheim.
And to end a perfect night, you could try La Luna, La Cueva, El Soltano, The Keeper, or Abstracken for some dancing!
