OverviewOpened in 2009, the Himalaia is a fantastic hotel which improves upon some of the older 4 stars in resort. Positioned in the newer (Ruda) area of Baqueira 1500, access to the pistes is easy as the hotel is situated about 100m from the new gondola system. It is also within 10 minutes walk of the facilities (e.g. shops, bars and Tiffany's nightclub) located in the original centre of Baqueira 1500. Prices are good for a hotel of this class, and although it lacks some of the finer touches of a 5 star, the prices are nearly a third cheaper! Great value in a superb location and popular amongst our clients. The hotel staff offer activities such as snow shoeing, ski guiding etc.

RoomsWith 141 rooms on 7 floors including duplexes and suites, the interior design reflects a relaxing Nepalese theme. All rooms are a simple modern design with plasma TV and satellite, heating, air-con, Wifi, minibar, safe, and nicely finished with quality sofa beds to give further accommodation options. Bathrooms have a heated wall to assist drying clothes.

MealsBuffet breakfast and evening meal. Cafe and snack bar available in the afternoons.

FacilitiesA stylish reception area greets you with a fantastic restaurant and a large modern bar area the next level up. Other facilities include: Sauna, Turkish bath, jacuzzi, massages, health and beauty treatments, heated swimming pool (approx 25 euros for pool & spa - no children under 16, advised to book pool night before), garage, ski lockers next to the gondola, laundry service, large lounge and reading room with an open fire, separate smoking room, bar/cafe, children's club, internet room, direct access to shopping centre, boot dryer and sun terrace.
